History of The Via Group

The Via Group was founded in 1990 by CEO, Kevin Carswell, and Sr. Vice President and Co-Founder, David Corl. Initially in voice interaction, it was originally called Voice-Inter-Action, with the company selling voice mail systems to enterprise companies operating in the Fortune 1000 arena. Because it was always referred to in project meetings and discussions with customers in the early days as Via, the company soon began using that acronym as its name, and the official name became The Via Group.

With a long history of providing consulting, professional and managed services, message networking, communications and network integrations, The Via Group has become a global leader in providing Unified Communication Solutions serving customers' individual needs.

With more than 17 years designing innovative real time and non-real time communications solutions, Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, The Via Group, is well equipped to help IT and telephony teams navigate the complexities of developing unified communications solutions.

The Via Group Today

Via sells a complete line of Microsoft and Avaya products plus its own line of products and services, reflecting a steady growth that began to accelerate when Vice President David Carswell, Sr. joined The Via Group from IBM in 1999. Growing incrementally over the years, Via adopted more products as it embraced more services that it could offer to its customers, constantly educating its customers about the enhanced products and services that it had to offer.

All of the Via team is constantly involved in continuing education, working toward their certifications and upgrading their talents so that the company remains on the cutting edge of the Unified Communications industry. All of its leadership have taken turns serving on the Microsoft Advisory Council, as well as serving on several other prestigious Advisory Councils.
